The annual Southwest Airlines Chinese New Year Parade will step off on Saturday, February 19th at 5:30 pm at Market & Second Streets. This is the biggest nighttime illuminated parade in North America and over 650,000 spectators are expected to line the streets to view this spectacular colorful parade. A San Francisco tradition, the Chinese New Year Parade is the largest celebration of it’s kind in the world, attracting over three million spectators and television viewers throughout the U.S., Canada, and Asia.      Vizitech was fortunate to be involved with the Chinese New Year Parade web site in 1999, and we were asked to redesign the site for 2000. The new site combines ancient ideas and symbolism with modern graphic design techniques. In addition to the Parade schedule, there are History, Games and Gallery sections as well.
